Infinity Plus eBooks (SF Signal)

Shortly after Al Gore invented the Internet and I discovered an online science
fiction presence, I immediately took notice of the informative and insightful
wesbite Infinity Plus. The original wesbite is no longer updated, but it’s
still around and I’m thrilled to learn that the folks behind Infinity Plus
have launched a line of eBooks called Infinity Plus eBooks>

From their press release:

> Back in 1997 the original infinity plus website started out on the principle
that we’d all benefit if a bunch of authors got together and put stories
online for free: readers would get a chance to discover new writers, and those
writers might share readers around and sell a few more books; and in the
meantime, we’d build an online showcase crammed with excellent reading.

>

> Now an ebook imprint, infinity plus is still going strong. With the new
infinity plus singles series we’re returning to those launching principles:
here’s a bunch of genre authors getting together to make their work available
cheaply, giving readers the chance to sample and discover before — we hope –
going on to buy our books.

John Flynn has directed some good, tough, pacy thrillers and Best Seller, along with the 1973 The Outfit, can claim to be the best of them. It kicks off with not one but two slam-bang action sequences and then, having grabbed our attention, pitches us straight into its twisty plot premise. Brian Dennehy, reliably watchable as ever, plays an ageing cop-turned-novelist who has hit a writer’s block s…

How To Grab A Good Bargain On Books by Victor Epand

Satisfaction is guaranteed when you get a good bargain and a great deal in just about anything. It takes a certain amount of skill and convincing power to get the right price which you have in mind. Being at the right place at the right time could help sometimes when you want be sure of spending the minimum amount for a maximum gain. There are plenty of options available for someone who is looking to get a good bargain on books. The latest and easy way is the online method where you can check out good offers and deals available for you. Shipping charges are the only drawbacks you would have to consider when shopping online and the time factor as it would take a few days for the goods to reach you.
Making trips to second hand book stores is a wise thing to do, as often you tend to find what you’re looking for at rock bottom prices. Keeping in touch with the respective shopkeepers and letting them know of your requirement would get you a better leverage as you would be informed when they get what you’re looking for.
Book fairs, garage sales and even jumble sales are great places to grab a good book at throw away prices. Look out for these in your local newspapers and other advertisements where you can strike a good bargain. Major book stores usually have their annual sales where the books are offered at discounted prices. If you are looking forward to buying new books, this would be the best alternative.
Libraries are an excellent source of bargain books as you could even exchange your old one for a book that is a repeat in the library. This is very inexpensive and works well for both parties. Keeping your books in a good condition is very important if you are looking at exchanging or selling them in future. Having friends with similar interests will help in getting the books that you need at an exchange or a good bargain.
Going in for older editions will save you some money as the newer versions will be more in demand. The contents need to verified and checked for differences in matter and relevance. Otherwise, the older version can suffice instead of the more expensive new edition. Plenty of old editions of various books are available on the Internet at cheap prices which can be got with a little searching at a great bargain.
Almost everything can be negotiated, so you can make use of your bargaining skills to get the right price and grab a good bargain for yourself.
